MEMECOIN $MMC logo

The memecoin that represents them all

Our whitepaper.

Handwritten whitepaper reading: a real meme coin, now.
01 / THE BASICS

What are memecoins?

Picture the internet as one giant playground full of memes, characters, animals, jokes, trends and communities. Then somebody asks the obvious question: what if this meme had its own token? That is a memecoin.

Its price is not set by revenue, profit or a product deck. It is set by:

  • Attention
  • Culture
  • Community
  • Speculation
  • Narrative
  • Social relevance

HEADS UPPrices are volatile and can go to zero. Memecoins are entertainment, not investment advice. Only ever bring what you can laugh about losing.

02 / THE EVOLUTION

How memecoins got here.

Every era taught the market something the next one built on. The through-line is the same: whatever the internet is looking at is what has value.

    01

    Dogecoin era2013

The first big memecoin, made as a joke by two software engineers who thought crypto was taking itself far too seriously. They built it around the Doge meme, a Shiba Inu photo covered in badly-kerned captions.

Millions of people loved it anyway. A community formed, and the joke ended up worth billions. For the first time it was obvious that a meme could carry real value if enough people believed in it.

    • Much wow
    • Very crypto
    • Such money
    02

    Shiba Inu era2020

Widely called the “Dogecoin killer”. Where Dogecoin had a joke, Shiba Inu had a community. People bought in because it felt like belonging to something bigger than the token.

It settled the pattern: community matters, attention creates value, and the internet can turn a joke into a billion-dollar asset.

    03

    Pepe era2023

Pepe the Frog had been one of the internet's most recognisable memes for a decade, so when a Pepe coin launched it spread almost instantly.

Nobody was buying revenue or fundamentals. They were buying the meme, the culture, the attention, and the bet that more people would be talking about it tomorrow. Attention was now the asset.

    04

    Pump.fun era2024

Launching a token used to be hard. Platforms like Pump.fun turned it into a two-minute job, and thousands of new coins started appearing every day. Traders call it the trenches: most disappear, a few survive, and the market moves faster than anyone can read it.

A coin can run because a celebrity posted, an animal went viral, news broke, or a product launched. Plenty of what trades isn't even a meme any more. It might be a grandma streaming Fortnite to cover a medical bill, or the surname of a new Fed chair. The whole thing became an attention market.

    05

    Robinhood eranow

Memecoins are turning up next to equities on mainstream brokerages. Same app, same watchlist, same tap to buy as a share of any listed company.

That changes who is in the room. Sitting beside a stock ticker brings deeper liquidity, more scrutiny, and a lot of people who have never opened a wallet in their life. It doesn't make memecoins safe, and the joke is still the point, but this era looks less like a corner of crypto and more like part of the market.

03 / THE THESIS

So why $MMC?

Memecoins are walking into a more serious room. If the category is going to sit next to equities, it needs one name that stands for the category, not another mascot competing inside it.

A

One coin for the whole space

Every era so far belonged to a single joke. A dog, then another dog, then a frog. $MMC isn't attached to any of them. It stands for the category itself: the thing every memecoin has in common once you strip the mascot away.

B

An icon built for the top 20

A single letterform, still legible at sixteen pixels in a CoinMarketCap row. Nothing to explain, no in-joke with an expiry date, no mascot that dates the moment it stops being funny.

C

A company for the industry

The memecoin space has never had one. Think of $MMC as the closest thing to it. Not a business with revenue, but the ticker the whole category answers to when attention moves anywhere inside it.

D

The pair, not the paired

Today every new token launches quoted against ETH, SOL or a stablecoin. The ambition is to invert that: $MMC as the thing they pair to. A base asset backed by the only thing that has ever moved this market. People.

No whitepaper. No roadmap theatre. No tokenomics puzzle to solve. One mark, one idea. The memecoin that represents them all.

How did we create this icon?

An icon for the whole category has a harder job than a mascot. It can’t lean on a dog or a frog to explain itself, so it has to carry the joke and the credibility at the same time.

So the brief was narrow. Clean enough to look at home beside the largest assets on the board, loose enough to still read as a memecoin. Hand-drawn rather than corporate. Confident rather than polished to death. A mark that looks deliberate blown up on a banner and still holds its shape shrunk into a row of tickers, where most logos turn to mush.

Everything above is the search for that balance. The same letter, redrawn until the weight, the slant and the cut of the strokes did all three jobs at once. Easy to read, hard to mistake for anything else, and obviously not a bank.
